To My 616 Readers In the Blogosphere

Today marks two weeks since I started this blog. In that time I’ve heard from three of you commenting on my posts. Until yesterday, I was wondering whether anyone else was reading them. Then I got curious and checked the statistics on my account. Much to my shock, I discovered that there have been 616 pageviews on this thing since I started!

Ooooh, Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy!

Today was Jimmy G day and I only mention it because I think Paul M, one of my blog "Followers" and a mutual friend of both of ours might appreciate it. Jim is my 3rd cousin, a mentally handicapped artist who lives in Detroit. I have sort of been his defacto social worker for the last twenty years.

Mom's Continuing Antics

Mom & Mary Kay at Applebees 9-10
So I give you my first real blog entry, trying not to inundate everyone. I find it’s a little harder to write now that I no longer have the daily discipline. My traditional stream of consciousness approach doesn’t really lend itself to a blog. So I’m finding I have to organize a posting by subject matter. And I’ve already compiled a list of subjects that I feel a need to write about.

But today I’m writing about Mom.

Welcome to my new blog

Welcome everyone to my new blog. This will replace the daily email updates I’ve been sending to friends and family for the last four years. I’m a blog newbie but at least have got the basics constructed, including the photos.
